Uphill Village Scarecrow 2009

Another year, another scarecrow festival! Another lovely time had by all, this year we decided to get involved and make our own scarecrow. The theme this year was people from history, so we decided to make His Imperial Majesty, Haile Selassie I. King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah.
Anyway, the head was made from Papier Mache and painted with acrylic paint, suit was courtesy of the Weston Hospice Shop and the tights were mine!
We don’t live in Uphill Village, we live on the council estate round the corner ; ) so we smuggled Haile Selassie into the village on Saturday morning and placed him strategicaly under a tree by the nursing home. Then on Sunday we brought him home again.
